Director and Lead Therapist

Bhairvi Trivedi Chowbey, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is the director and lead therapist of Indigo Therapy Center. Dr. Chowbey was born and raised in the DC area. She received her Bachelors and Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the George Washington University in Washington, DC and Ph.D. from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Chowbey is a certified speech-language pathologist and has extensive experience in research, teaching, and clinical practice in various areas of communication sciences and disorders. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, and has particular expertise in pediatric communication development and culturally and linguistically responsive practice. She also has a passion for teaching the next generation of clinicians, and currently teaches graduate students at Emerson College.

As a clinician, Dr. Chowbey uses an individualized and collaborative approach to ensure her clients' and their families' needs are heard, and that their lives are guided towards a positive direction.
